Javier Perianes is the Artist in Residence at the 70th edition of the Granada International Music and Dance Festival and the recipient of the Festival’s Medal of Honour.
On 22 June he performs Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor at the Palacio the Carlos V with Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Klaus Mäkelä in a Nordic-themed programme, which is broadcast live on Radio Clásica from 22:30 pm.
On 12 July Perianes gives a recital at the Patio de los Arrayanes. The programme titled ‘Love and Death’ includes works by Beethoven, Chopin, Granados and Liszt.
Finally on 13 July he is joined by the Cuarteto Quiroga at the Patio de los Mármoles to perform Schumann’s Piano Quintet, preceded by Brahms’ String Quartet No. 1.
